As usual Ramadan fasting month comes with generosity and charity tables, as the endeavor of SARC’s Rural Damascus Al Tall volunteers increased to prepare meals for 56000 beneficiaries through new #campaign in 3 collective #kitchens in the city (Al Shariyeh, Al Shabab, Omahat Al Khair). Where Al Tall Sub Branch supplies the kitchens with all important materials in cooperation with (Inaash Al Fakeer & Omahat Al Khair) societies within a plan action to support local community and promote them by distributing 11700 meals every day. To ward off the cold winter and to alleviate Kids sufferings, Volunteers of SARC Al Kiswah Sub Branch distributed winter clothes to 3893 kids in Al Adaliah area and the areas around it, the distribution continued for a week from Sunday 6/12/2015 to Saturday 12/12/2015. Clothes basket included (Coat – sleep clothes – Socks – Hat), and provided by ICRC.
Within its plan for the rehabilitation and training of volunteer staff on the principles of first aid, The Committee of First Aid in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Lattakia branch worked during June on training 72 volunteers on the principles of first aid through three Training courses, two of them in (Jablah and AL-haffa sub branches) and a training course in the headquarters of the Organization branch in Lattakia. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch managed to deliver certain needed drugs to the eastern areas of Aleppo city. The SARC’s health care and field intervention teams had to cross Bustan AlQasr – AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Point to deliver the mentioned drugs. These drugs were 50 streotokinaz vials, 1000 insulin vials and benzyl benzoat. It is noteworthy that some of the mentioned drugs are delivered for the first time to the mentioned areas.
An activity called “The Old Days” was held by SARC Counseling Center for Psychosocial Support as a part of the center’s rehabilitation and reintegration of war-injured program. The activity aimed to promote relationships between war injured and their families. The activity was based on the Syrian heritage and included preparing a traditional breakfast with the presence of a storyteller who told a story about the good old days. The kinetic rehabilitation and psychosocial support program is carried out by SARC prosthetics team in cooperation with SARC-Aleppo Counseling Center for Psychosocial Support
