The Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch’s field intervention team continues its humanitarian aids by provide safe front-line crossing through Bustan AlQasr – AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Points. Yesterday, the team escorted 29 humanitarian cases, 15 of which crossed back after receiving the needed medical treatment, while the other 14 are still under medical observation.
Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch’s teams succeeded in delivering Albumin, supported by World Health Organization, and cardiac chronic medications to Cardiac Clinics in eastern Aleppo neighborhoods (AlSukkari, AlSha’ar, AlMaghayer and AlSakhour). As soon as the mentioned medications ran out, SARC responded urgently to provide them through Bustan AlQasr – AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Point and after coordinating with all parties on ground. Delivered medications also contained basic hypotensive agents and blood thinners.
A joint team of Syrian Arab Red Crescent – Aleppo branch and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees delivered shipments of humanitarian aid to eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo city. This was carried out by collaboration of UNHCR delegation in Syria, SARC’s Aleppo branch director and some board members along with the efforts of 42 volunteers passing through Bustan AlQasr – AlMasharqa Humanitarian Crossing Point and by using primitive means of transportation. The Psycho-social Support Mobile Teams of SARC’s Aleppo branch continue crossing Bustan al-Qasr al-Masharqa humanitarian crossing point in order to distribute winter clothes to the whole city of Aleppo. Today, 21 February 2015, PSS mobile teams distributed clothes with a support from DRC to 320 students in Yosuf al-Athma School in the eastern part of Aleppo.
