An emergency response to a malfunction in the main pumping line of the Al-Ashary project

 The volunteers of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Daraa Water Corporation, responded to a malfunction in the main water pumping line in Al-Ashaari pumping station project. as the malfunction was maintained in the line that provides drinking water for more than 200,000 people in Daraa governorate. the maintenance process is supported by the ICRC.

Previous achievement to secure the residents’ needs of clean water

After continuous work in coordination between the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and the Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH), during February of this year the rehabilitation of the Al-Ashary project was completed in its second phase, by providing it with four pumps, two vertical and two horizontal as well as an electrical transformer, in addition to the complete electrical and mechanical equipment for it.
This process will contribute in securing safe drinking water for 100,000 beneficiaries in the eastern and western countryside of Daraa governorate.
