To keep children safe against seasonal infections and diseases, health-raising awareness is essential to educate students at schools on the basic behaviors to stay healthy against common diseases like respiratory infections and lice. In this context, the CBHFA-Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers headed to Hateen School in the city of Daraa, carrying awareness messages that contribute to enhancing community health knowledge and disease prevention.
What is a CBHFA program?
SARC-CBHFA program, funded by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, is an integrated community approach in which SARC volunteers work with their communities in disease prevention, health promotion and first aid, as well as disaster preparedness and response. It was started in Daraa Governorate in August 2020.
The Community Health and First Aid Program (CBHFA) aims to create a healthy community, by contributing in reducing morbidity and mortality among vulnerable population groups in Syria, by building the capacities of Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers and providing community health services to vulnerable groups.
