Winter is the worst season for returnees, particularly children, in Syria where temperature decrease to zero in some areas. During the last month, families returned to their villages in Rural Damascus have suffered a lot due to lack of every winterization supplies. Therefore, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers rushed to support them by providing winter clothes kits to 26000 children in Ein-Tarma and Nashabieh in Rural Damascus, with the support of UNICEF.

What does the kit contain?

Every child received a pair of shoes, a jacket, a sweater, a wool cap, a scarf, gloves and socks.

The tough cold weather in winter has its negative impact on vulnerable people, particularly the children who may suffer flu and acute respiratory infections that put their lives at risk. Generally, children are the most vulnerable in the winter months.ing winter clothes kits to 26000 children in Ein-Tarma and Nashabieh in Rural Damascus, with the support of UNICEF.
