The Counseling Center for Psycho-social Support at the Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Aleppo branch concluded children gaming sessions that took place at the sheltering center in the University Campus in Aleppo city. The gaming sessions aimed to ease the pressure experienced by the children and give them a space to express their feelings through various playing games such as “My Name and I” which boosts children’s self-confidence. “My Feelings” is another game that helps children to speak up their feelings and emotions frankly , while “My Dream and I” allows them to narrate their night dreams, write down their daydreams and ambitions. In the same context “Dealing with Fear” session let children talk about their fears and how to handle it. “Leader and Group” session develops the child’s leadership skills and teaches them social and co-operational skills that result in building up a courageous child. The final gaming session was “The Safe Place” which allow the child to talk about his dream place in which he feels safe and enjoys love and warmth.
