The cold of winter and the harsh weather make life more difficult for the affected and internally displaced people who struggle for dignified life though in collective shelters.
With an aim to support those families, which most of them are children, SARC – Aleppo’s shelter team supported by UNHCR launched “Winter Cold” project. “Winter Cold”, which will last on for three months, targets 94 buildings in areas of Al-Sakan wa Al-Istiyaf, Al-Riyada, Black Buildings in Tishreen Association and Al-Masharqa. The project aims to provide a room to each family to secure privacy, safety and comfortable life living.
Shelter team has started working on 12 buildings, 7 of which are in Al-Sakan wa Al-Istiyaf and involve 62 families including 291 individuals, while the other 5 are in Tishreen Association and involve 49 families including 224 individuals.
