Water and Sanitation teams in Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in cooperation with International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) managed to install two electricity generating sets in Al-Hassakeh on 17-18 July 2016.

The first set (1.650 KVA) was installed in Alook project station due to the dire need for water and the lack of its resources there. The station which would secure clean water for more than 500.000 beneficiaries in Tall Al-Tammer, Al-Hool and other rural areas there.

The second set (1.000 KVA) was installed in Al-Hassakeh grain mill that would secure flour and support many public and private bread bakeries with beneficiaries total to 600.000 residing and arrival people.

It is worth to mention that these works were conducted based on needs evaluation carried out by water and sanitation teams of SARC- Al-Hassakeh branch.
