Job purpose
The RASB Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating all aspects of the Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) program of SARC in order to reduce the risk of Explosive Ordnance (EO) incidents in communities affected by the conflict in Syria. The RASB Coordinator will work closely with other program coordinators, EORE Field Officers, and other stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of EORE activities and risk mitigation projects such as the establishment of safe play areas. She /He will report to Humanitarian Mine Action Unit Manager.
Job duties and responsibilities
• Develop and implement an EORE strategy that is aligned with the overall program strategy and meets the needs of the affected communities.
• Conduct regular field visits to monitor EORE activities.
• Provide technical support to the EORE teams.
• Coordinate and supervise the implementation of EORE activities
• Ensure all the EORE teams (staff and volunteers) are trained with the needed trainings and equipped to implement the EORE activities.
• Develop the EORE materials (Design, test and distribute the productions).
• Ensure that the EORE project is adequately recruited.
• Plan and implement risk mitigation projects, such as the establishment of safe play areas, and coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure their effective delivery.
• Monitor the impact of EORE activities and risk mitigation projects to ensure that they meet the affected communities’ needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, other NGOs, and mine action organizations, to ensure coordination and cooperation in the delivery of EORE activities and risk mitigation projects.
• Develop and implement a monitoring and evaluation plan to measure the impact of EORE activities and risk mitigation projects, and to ensure that they are meeting the standards set by IMAS.
• Develop and manage the EORE budget, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting expenditures for EORE activities and risk mitigation projects.
• Follow up the regular data and reports shared with the Unit Manager and other stakeholders on the progress of EORE activities and risk mitigation projects, and make recommendations for improvements where necessary.
• Provide technical reports about EORE activities based on the needs upon request.
• Represent SARC in meetings related to EORE activities.

Position Requirements:
– Education and Training:
• University Degree.
– Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience in managing and implementing EORE activities in conflict-affected countries.
• Committed to the seven Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
– Knowledge and Skills:

• Proven ability to develop and implement EORE strategies, including community outreach, training, and materials production and distribution, as well as risk mitigation projects such as the establishment of safe play areas.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff and volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with local authorities, other NGOs, and mine action organizations.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a complex and challenging environment.
• Excellent budget and financial management skills.
• Ability to travel inside and outside the country.
(Preferred)
• Strong understanding of the IMAS and other international standards related to mine action, MRE, and risk mitigation projects.
Languages and IT Skills
• Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken.
• Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
