In order to improve livelihoods for the affected families, the livelihoods team at SARC – Swaida Branch launched their first developmental project through distributing chickpea seeds and fertilizer in 7 villages in Swaida Governorate so far (Al Mazraa – Al Mashqouq – Al Thaala – Mafa’aleh – Al A’afineh – Ira and Al Mjemir )with beneficiaries of 951 families. The team will continue on working to support more farmers in other villages and areas till the end of planting season this year. The Chickpea seeds and fertilizers donation are supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross and in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform.
