For volunteers to keep providing assistance to everyone in need with full capacities, they have to improve their skills and explore up-to-date knowledge that helps them implement the action plan in line with the challenges lying ahead.
Refresh training and induction courses by SARC guide volunteers in the work field
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent is keen to held training courses in various fields for all voluntary working teams.
Recently, it launched a course on the International Humanitarian Law for 26 volunteers in Swaida city with the support of the Finnish Red Cross, while in Rural Damascus, it held a workshop on “Data Collection and Reporting” for 24 volunteers with the support of the German Red Cross.
In Homs, a training course on the “Principles of the Disaster Management” was implemented, with the support of the German Red Cross, to train 20 volunteers on the humanitarian work in the field.
Keep volunteers’ safety is a priority
For the safety and security of the volunteers, who are the backbone of the aid work, SARC conducted a course for 21 volunteers from the first aid and medical centers teams in Damascus. The course briefed the attendants on the potential work risk and how to deal with it.
