The first well in Alkafer Town is put actively in service that would alleviate residents’ suffering of water scarcity and the costs of attaining water supply, providing 15 thousand people with drinking water. The well was equipped by the water and sanitation team at SARC-Swaida Branch, supported by ICRC and in cooperation with Swaida Water Establishment. This new water source is scheduled to be delivered to the houses through the main water pipeline, which has been replaced with new one earlier by the team. This project is part of the water and sanitation team’s plan to equip three wells (Alkafer was the first while the other two will be in Teima Village)
