The International Committee of the Red Cross Head of delegation to Syria, Ms. Marian Gaser, paid a visit to Aleppo city on Sunday. Mar 3rd. 2015. During the visit , Ms. Gaser and the ICRC accompanied delegation met with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent management and the board member of Aleppo branch. The ICRC delegation along with SARC’s management in Aleppo paid a visit to several prominent authorities including the Head of Aleppo Security Committee, Aleppo Governor, Aleppo Police Chief and Aleppo Mufti. During the mentioned meetings, the ICRC delegation explained in brief their activities that carried out hand in hand with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Syria . They noted that these activities which ,meets with the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent principles, are aimed to support affected people in various fields as water & sanitation, hygiene and sheltering services as well as the artificial limbs program, which is the first of its kind in Aleppo. Finally they appreciated efforts exerted by relevant parties that facilitate the humanitarian work and providing humanitarian services all over Aleppo Governorate. The ICRC delegation is expected to stay for more few days in Aleppo to hold other meeting and to pay field visits around the city.
