The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) is an independent humanitarian organisation of public utility, is permanent and continuous, and has a legal entity and enjoys financial and administrative independence.
SARC was founded in 1942 according to the decrees No/540/ 1942 and No/117/ 1966 which regulate the Organisation’s work. It was recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Geneva (ICRC) in 1946, and is committed to upholding the Geneva Conventions and the seven Fundamental Principles of the International Movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with receiving, storing and delivering incoming supplies and equipment to the warehouse.
• Ensure the maintenance, arrangement and cleanliness of the warehouse in accordance with the approved rules.
• Assist in preparing input and output documents and recording them in warehouse records.
• Maintaining up-to-date paper and electronic records of warehouse assets in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
• Participate in the preparation of periodic statistical reports on the recipient, spent and inventory, and submit them at the required time.
• Inventory the contents of the warehouse periodically and when needed and requested by the direct manager.
• Ensure that security and safety controls are applied in the warehouse.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree.
• At least two years’ experience in warehouse field.
• Preferably familiar with the work of the Red Cross/Red Crescent.
• Good knowledge of the geographically assigned environment.
• Basic Knowledge of English.
• Basic Knowledge computer skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Committed to working as part of a team.
