The WHO Constitution (1946) envisages “…the highest attainable standard of health as a fundamental right of every human being.

The right to health is created to ensure access to timely, acceptable, and affordable health care of appropriate quality for everyone.

But who will deliver the health services to the remote areas?

We can tell you who does that and in detail….

Have you ever heard about the Mobile Health Clinic of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent?

The Mobile Health Clinic is a basic doctor’s office or exam room located inside a large van, bus, or RV. These vehicle-based clinics travel to medically underserved areas to help connect patients to care when patients would have otherwise gone without care.

The targeted group:

It provides its services to all age groups. In 2020, the MHC in Swaida provided medical services to 6908 people. The doctor of the MHC examines the patient, diagnose the condition and prescribed the proper medicine.

It goes far distances to the areas deprived of health care services, makeshift shelters and camps to reach the largest possible number of vulnerable people.

Raising awareness and health education

It is said that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, hence, the team of the mobile health clinic dedicates much efforts to promote healthy habits and raise awareness about infectious diseases like COVID-19. They also distribute hygiene items that help people keep personal hygiene.
