Kinda Qaza, a SARC- Aleppo volunteer since 2003, said that the ideas that were presented in the workshop may not have been new but of great value and should be put in the hands of the SARC- Aleppo volunteers who were not aware of it. She also noted that the session of International Humanitarian Law was of much significance and some basic headlines and ideas mentioned in the workshop should be agreed upon by other SARC branches.
Since the time frame of this workshop was limited, it has been requested to send all relevant documents regarding the said workshop in order to be later used in similar workshops.
Doua’a Bizmaouy, a SARC- Idleb branch volunteer, considered the session related to SARC emergency and the International Humanitarian Law as very important since she works in the human resources field and has minimal knowledge about relief. She signified the mutually exchanged information among the participants and expressed an interest exchange all gained information with the volunteers in SARC Idleb branch, the local community and the beneficiaries as w
ell as to universities and schools.
Kinan Shimali, a SARC- Hama volunteer since 1998, pointed to the fact that the challenging situations that the branches are facing, they should be managed in a new way. He mentioned that the workshops were previously done to concentrate on theoretical information, but now it is time for them to be applied due to the increasing difficulties and thus, the experiences gained need to be more tangible. “I personally had the opportunity to join my colleagues from other branches which is highly beneficial as the negative points differ from one branch to another and this will enlarge the knowledge landscape.
Nagham Khaddour, a SARC- Lattakia branch volunteer, considered the workshop to be significant as the beneficiaries have minimal knowledge about the missions and work carried out by SARC. She explained that most people think that SARC works mainly in the distribution of food parcels, so such workshops are needed to clarify SARC’s role as well as highlight the rights of the beneficiaries. This workshop was indeed used in the most ideal way to highlight SARC as an organization that aims to provide various services in the best possible terms.
