Press Release: SARC  is being prepared to enter  to deliver aid simultaneously to Madaya, Kefraya and Alfouaa

SARC is to Support the Most Affected Rural Families

Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), and the accompanied delegation made a visit to Mr. Mohammed Al-Qadiri, Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Reform on Jul 27th, 2016.

The two parties assured the importance of the cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Agricultural Reform and SARC in order to support the crisis affected families in rural areas in collaboration with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cross Red Crescent and the local societies. This support will include distributing seeds and fertilizers to 5000 families in Rural Damascus, Qounaitera, Hama, Homs and Al-Hassakeh governorates.

The Minister clarified that this cooperation will be carried out through the Agricultural extension units and via supporting the micro small enterprises, which play a role in increasing the rural families’ income and empower the rural women.
