The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) has concluded works of drills, outfits and activations of two wells in Deir Ezzour city. These works were done by SARC’S water and sanitation teams and in cooperation with UNICEF. The wells, which are located in Tabb Al-Joura and Al-Mouazafeen neighborhoods, are solar- powered as some of the basic water stations became out of service.
SARC handover the management of the mentioned wells to the Water Institution in Deir Ezzour to run them according to the needs.
It is worth to mention that SARC in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross is developing a program on wells’ water treatment to turn it into drinkable water as it is valid just for domestic use.
