The Syrian Arab Red Crescent held its general assembly meeting on Sunday, December 16, 2018. The meeting was opened by Eng. Khaled Hboubati, President of SARC, and attended by board management of the branches and the Headquarters.

In his speech, Eng. Khaled Hboubati said, “Since our beloved country entered the recovery stage, SARC response has been planned in a manner consistent with the demands of the current phase that includes empowering affected people to recover their stability and resilience amidst the new realities.”

He also presented, in numbers, major achievements reached by SARC during the first half of 2018. “We managed to deliver different humanitarian services to 5.4 M people, respond to the people in hard to reach areas like Aleppo, Homs, Rural Damascus, Raqqa and Deir Ezzour; and successfully access Rukban Camp on the Syria-Jordanian borders,” He said.

During the meeting, Deloitte Company was approved as the external audit for 2018.  It also included videos presentation about the services provided by SARC during 2018.
