1 min read

Due to shortage in water provisions which provoked the incidence of diarrhea causing diseases, SARC – Aleppo hygiene promotion team preceded its intervention in Aleppo city. The team held sessions for 88 women in Majbal Al-Ismant shelter in Al-Zahraa to raise awareness on the most important causes of diarrhea. Sessions, which were held in an interactive way, involved giving information on symptoms of those diseases, signs of dehydration, prevention and treatment. The number of beneficiaries reached 548 as at the end of those sessions, jerry cans, chlorine tablets for water purification and oral rehydration salts sachets were distributed to each family.
It is mentioning that activities of hygiene promotion team are carried out with support from UNICEF.
