Damascus, Mar 15th 2018
As of today, the outflux of civilians from East Ghouta has been increasing on an hourly basis, and people are in dire need for more emergency humanitarian assistance. Women, children and elders are the most affected in this situation.
The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) calls on all humanitarian partners, including the United Nations, the International Committee for Red Cross (ICRC) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) to increase the support to SARC to effectively respond to this humanitarian emergency. Only together can we reach out swiftly to the vulnerable and the needy in this difficult moment.
SARC reminds all parties that it is a neutral and independent organization guided by the seven fundamental movement principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
