SARC Activities in Al-Sefira

Psycho-social support team of the Counseling Center for PSS (SARC –UNICEF) visited SARC  sub-branch in Al-Sefira in order to check the courses that the Counseling Center holds there in cooperation with Syria Trust for Development. Those Courses, which are carried out in Tal-Aran, deal with teaching knitting and aim to empower women of the local community, develop their skills and abilities and raise their role in society, which all leads to boost their self-esteem. The ongoing course lasted for two months and benefitted 18 women.

The visit also involved assessing the area in cooperation with SARC -Al-Sefira sub-branch to discuss intervening there with psycho-social activities and awareness sessions for mothers and children. Beneficiaries are expected to reach 7000 persons.
