Resource Mobilization Coordinator

Job Purpose & Accountability
The Resource Mobilization (RM) Coordinator reporting to the Manager of the National Society Development and Strategic Planning Unit, under the overall supervision of the Director of the Performance and Partnerships Support Department, is responsible for developing and implementing the SARC approach to resource mobilization, based on which the role holder will support SARC in developing Resource Mobilization Strategy (2024-2026) and Plan, as well as developing, piloting, and implementing local fundraising mechanisms and resource mobilization initiatives to diversify income sources and ensure adequate resources.
The RM Coordinator will work closely with branches under the guidance of the NSD&SP Unit Manager and will contribute to integrated programming through evidence and data-informed planning and resource allocation while assessing risks and ensuring business continuity by contributing to identifying potential long-term donors, leading outreach and discussions on collaboration and resource mobilization activities, monitoring performance, planning, coordination of resource mobilization-related activities, including innovative and efficient donor engagement and management and contributing to reporting towards partners and donors.
The RM Coordinator will work closely with the relevant departments and units: Financial Department, Grants Management and Partnerships Support unit, etc.), programmes and services interested in commercializing their services, and the Movement partners: IFRC, Swiss RC, British RC, and other partners to ensure that SARC capacity building in resource mobilization and fundraising and initiatives are aligned, integrated, and implemented across SARC.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate mapping of existing and new potential sources of income and revenue generation, including donor mapping through the market study in close cooperation and coordination with the SARC concerned departments and units, supported by the Movement partners.
- Develop the SARC Resource Mobilization Strategy for 2024-2026 and Plan based on the market study findings in coordination with the SARC concerned departments and units, especially with the Finance Department (cost recovery) and Grants Management and Partnerships Support Unit.
- Support and ensure the implementation of the SARC RM Strategy and Plan with technical and financial support from the partners, constantly following up on the progress and challenges, which envisages designing and writing materials for different donors.
- Enhance internal awareness and capacity of the SARC programmes and corporate services regarding resource mobilization and fundraising.
- Ensure effective and timely follow-up in terms of submission of reports to the partners and donors on the progress of the RM plan implementation and generated income.
- Provide advice to SARC programmes and corporate services in the development and execution of RM Strategy, focusing on their specific areas of work.
- Support integrated programming, utilizing analysis, assessing, and managing risks to enhance cross-departmental work in resource mobilization planning implementation and reporting to ensure adequate resource allocation across SARC in close coordination with the concerned departments and units.
- Identify the training needs of programme staff in resource mobilization, address them with the financial and technical support of the partners, and assist in creating their business continuity plans to be integrated into the overall SARC Business Continuity Plan.
- Monitor and evaluate continued professional development to ensure it is responding to needs.
- Cooperate and coordinate with the IFRC Country and Regional respective staff and other resource persons available in the Movement and be part of the IFRC Financial Sustainability and Resource Mobilization Communities of Practice and related networks.
