When children made up the largest segment of the people arriving in Al-Hawl Camp, after a tiring journey from East Deir Ezzour, SARC has soon initiated a psychosocial support intervention. The PSS mobile team has provided services that help the children on integration and resilience through raising awareness sessions and purposeful entertaining activities.
As soon as the people arrive in the camp, the team provides psychological first aid, then they carry out awareness sessions for children and adults regarding personal hygiene and potential diseases. In addition, they launch daily creative and kinetic activities, like drawing and competitions for hundreds of children. The team also help the relief team, when there is a need, in distributing humanitarian aid.
