Damascus, April 16, 2017

For the fifth day in row, Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) teams continue with their humanitarian duty in the four towns (Zabadani & Madaya in Rural Damascus and Al-Fu’ah & Kefraya in Rural Edlib). Hundreds of SARC volunteers are still providing the humanitarian services needed by evacuees in the mentioned areas with neutrality and impartiality manner and based on confidence and upon request of the negotiated and agreed parties. It is highly important to mention that the Syrian Arab Red Crescent is not involved or part of the agreement.

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent strongly condemns the attack on the humanitarian convoys that caused many causalities and injuries among civilians and hit three SARC volunteers.

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent extends its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs at this sad time and wish injuries get well soon.

Moreover, SARC stressed on its high preparedness around the clock to provide saving- life relief aid for all people in need all over Syria regardless of any other considerations.
