In cooperation with UN offices in Syria, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent(SARC) delivered relief aid (food & medicines) to five hard to reach areas: Madaya ,Zabadani and Moadamiya In Rural Damascus And Kefraya and Foua In Rural Idleb.
About 115 trucks loaded with food parcels, flour, nutritious items, date biscuit, peanut butter and medicines 18 Trucks headed to Foua & Kefraya, while 65 Trucks headed to Madaya & Zabadani and 32 to Moadamiya. In addition, two mobile clinics and medical staff of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent accompanied the trucks and provided the needed medical services there.
It is worth to mention that in cooperation with its humanitarian partners and supported by the governmental official bodies, SARC previously managed to deliver relief aid to many hard to reach areas.
“Our goal is to reach the most vulnerable people, and today the Syrian Arab Red Crescent managed to deliver food and medical relief aid to Madaya, Zabadani, and Moadamiya in Rural Damascus, and Foua & Kefraya in Rural Edleb. SARC’s team are on high preparedness to carry out their humanitarian role and to deliver relief aid to the affected people all over Syria.” Said Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, president of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
This mission was fulfilled with efforts of about 170 Volunteers, who will continue along with their colleagues to carry out their humanitarian duties
