1 min read

As water crisis continuous striking in Aleppo city, life conditions worsened to the toughest ever there. This triggered SARC teams in Aleppo to be on   daily response to alleviate people’s suffering. However,  Water and Sanitation team launched a pilot project in cooperation with the Public Water Institution  in Aleppo. The project involves installing and operating a portable water purification unit on Quiq River in order to extract its purified water that wasted in the river. The project, which will produce 5000 liters of water per hour, contains a complete purification unit with taps for beneficiaries. As this phase succeed, more new units will be installed. It is noteworthy that these units are supported by World Health Organization (‪WHO), while installing these units is supported by ‪‎UNICEF.
