1 min read

On Global Handwashing Day and with an aim to deliver purposeful messages on proper behaviors regarding washing hands for different age groups especially children, hygiene promotion team of Aleppo branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in cooperation with PSS  Counseling Center’s team (SARC – UNICEF) held an open day for children in Al-Safira, southwestern Aleppo Countryside.
This open day involved several purposeful activities and practical applications. Those were followed by an interactive theater to reinforce basic thoughts showing the proper ways to do it and how neglecting it could spread diseases.
The activity, which 137 children aged 6 to 12 benefitted from, concluded with distributing a set containing of two pieces of soap, a towel, a toy and candy to each child. It is worth mentioning that soap is supported by UNICEF.
