Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), welcomed Mr. Sven Mollekleiv, President of the Norwegian Red Cross at SARC headquarter in Damascus on 20/11/2015. They discussed the active mutual projects in fields of water & sanitation and Relief aspects, and the potentials of development to reach more areas in Syria. Mr. Mollekleiv met also with SARC water project management and had a briefing on the carried out projects that supported by the Norwegian Red Cross. They signed a mutual cooperation agreement with attendance of Dr. Attar.
President of the Norwegian Red Cross visited SARC water project center in Damascus and checked the proper functioning of the project.
The coordinator of SARC water Project accompanied the delegate on a visit to Homs city, where they toured the buildings rehabilitation project and the sheltering centers in Homs old city and saw the services provided there by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.
They also visited Al-Dilbeh water station that was equipped by the Norwegian Red Cross, and met with residents of Jnenet Rislan village in the nearby who benefitted from the mentioned station, which actively improved the water services there.
Later to his visit, the Norwegian Red Cross president sent an appreciation letter in which he praised the exerted efforts in water projects and the efficiency of the executed works.
