SARC – Aleppo Counseling Center for Psycho-social Support and in cooperation with the General Syrian Federation launched “SARC – Aleppo Basketball Cup for the Youth”.
This activity targets the youth and aims to motivate professional teams of Aleppo to give players who recently joined the teams the opportunity to adapt with its members.
The seven day activity will take place on Al-Jalaa Stadium starting on October 5th, 2015.
Five professional teams of Aleppo are joining this competition, including Al-Itihad, Al-Jalaa, Al-huriya, Al-Ouroba and Al-Yarmouk. At the end of the competition, teams will be ordered according to gained points. The final winning teams will compete for the first place, while the second two will compete for the third place.
It is worth mentioning that the Counseling Center for Psychosocial Support which was established in 2008, and funded by the Danish Red Cross. It carries out several activities especially those regarding men and women’s psychosocial support that help people vent and solve their family issues. Other activities target adolescents to empower them and help them express themselves and improve their skills. There are also different activities for children.
