The IHL is to be disseminated across Syria

Seeking the dissemination of the IHL articles and rules, which contribute to the protection and avoidance of huge losses among civilians, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent rehabilitates specialized cadres equipped enough to promote the IHL principles among volunteers.

New IHL trainers of trainees

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent held a TOT course in the IHL with the participation of 25 volunteers and employees from all SARC branches. The five-day advanced course started on November 29, 2020, with the support of the ICRC.

Why the IHL?

Civilian victims of the armed conflicts stand a clear witness to the International Humanitarian Law violations committed by the conflicted parties. Therefore, exploring the IHL and disseminating its acts are a must for civilians’ protection and to avoid huge losses.
