Supporting the most vulnerable returnees’ families of the affected areas was the goal of #SARC volunteers who implemented the second phase of Babena and Al Qadisieh project to rehabilitate 61 houses, the project included civil works of painting, tiling, casting concrete slope, aluminum works, providing and installing wooden and iron doors, electrical works, and sanitary works.

what are the beneficiaries’ opinions?

Mr. Ibrahim Mubayed Said: ''when we knew that registration process was available, we immediately registered because our house was in a bad condition, and by the efforts of the volunteers it was rehabilitated.''

Mrs. Souad’s house, before and after.

While Mrs. Souad Shakoush explained the condition of her house prior to the project: ''the house was in a very bad condition, windows, doors and even the wall were damaged, and I had been struggling during winter to avoid storms, now things have turned upside down and I’m feeling safe again in my house.''

The project is conducted in cooperation with ICRC, while the assessment process for further needs in the village is ongoing.
