Dr.Motaz Al_Atassi, head of board of directors welcomes Mr.Peter Maurer, president of ICRC

On Thursday 25th February, Dr. Motaz Al-Atassi,  Head of board of directors,  received Mr. Peter Maurer, ICRC president, and the accompanied  delegation that involved Mr. Robert Mardini, ICRC Regional Director for the Middle East, Ms. Marianne Gasser, ICRC Head of Delegation, in SARC-Homs branch the main center.
They paid a field visit to Al Waer area to check the humanitarian situation and the services that SARC-Homs branch provides to beneficiaries in a temporary sheltering center. Then they visited SARC-Homs Al Waer point.
At the end of the visit, they met several beneficiaries of housing rehabilitation projects, carried out by water and sanitation team, and other beneficiaries of the livelihood projects in the Old City, supported by ICRC.
This visit comes to emphasize the importance of the cooperation between SARC and ICRC in order to provide essential needs to affected people.
