Dr. Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) Welcomed Mr. Anthony Lake, the Executive Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Mr. Peter Salameh, UNICEF Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africaon and Ms. Hana Singer, UNICEF Resident Representative in Syria  on Monday, February 29, 2016.

During the meeting, they discussed the mechanisms to develop the joint work between the UNICEF and SARC in field of water, Relief and health.

Dr. Attar stressed the importance of the support provided by UNICEF notably the water and sanitation project which covers the needs of affected people all over Syria in cooperation with many donors like ICRC, DRC and GRC.

On his part, Mr. Lake expressed his deep admiration of SARC activities. “The United Nations Children’s Fund takes this opportunity to express its high consideration and appreciation to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and thank them for their prominent role in the humanitarian field and their volunteers’ sacrifices in hot spot where SARC lost more than 50 martyrs in line of the humanitarian work” Mr. Lake said
