The International Humanitarian Law (IHL) committee of Aleppo branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent has started holding courses on International Humanitarian Law for SARC – Aleppo volunteers.
The first course, was on May 22nd to 26th, 2016, and targeted 20 volunteers in various operating SARC – Aleppo teams. It includes introducing the IHL, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, application of IHL, protected categories and individuals, safer access, IHL and the Islamic Law, Geneva Conventions, media and publishing as well as the international mechanisms to face violations.
These courses highlight the International Humanitarian Law, introduce the mechanisms and materials to apply SARC and ICRC humanitarian actions.
Courses are carried out in the presence of SARC board and management and members of IHL committee.
