Dr. Abdul Rahman Attar, and after I take the permission to step down and submit my resignation…
I take this chance to thank all the members of the Governing Board and especially the Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers who have dedicated themselves to the humanitarian cause throughout the Crisis and all those working in this humanitarian organization.
It is time for me to resign as the President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in order to give way to the new generation that will carry on this humanitarian mission; and for that reason, I presented my resignation to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Governing Board in which they were persistence on my continuance; but for personal causes, I insisted that they accept my resignation and continue as the SARC International Relations Advisor with respect to remaining the President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent for the Damascus Branch until the end of 2017,
I would like to also thank all the official authorities, the IFRC, ICRC, sister National Societies, and UN Agencies for their contributions in supporting SARC.
I would like to congratulate Engineer Khaled Hboubati, the President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, and wish him all the luck in his humanitarian mission as I am sure that the Organization will continue its journey and as the Advisor for the SARC International Relations, I will remain supporting the Organization and all its humanitarian causes.
Life has taught me that experience is a precious treasure that we all can benefit from…
Dr. Abdul Rahman Attar
Former President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent
