A year ago, when Abdulrahman (14 y) was on his way to buy some groceries shrapnel hit him in the cervical vertebra causing him stiffness in his upper part.
His parents took him to the health care center of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent where he has gone through physiotherapy for five months. The time passed slowly and tough before he could overcome his illness. During that time, he practiced his hobby in reading poetry which was the sole leverage and memorized many beautiful poems.
Abdulrahman improved well and today he can move his hands, color drawings and play with his siblings. He hopes to back to school and continue his study.
