Aleppo branch of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC – Aleppo) is proceeding the response to the urgent humanitarian situation of the recently displaced families. SARC – Aleppo teams (relief, assessment, registration, health care and water and sanitation) have made field trips to several places, such as Zainab Mosque and Al-Kasani Mosque in Al-Hamdaniya. Trips involved registration and urgent aids distribution to 103 families (1015 individuals) who had fled from 1070, Tishreen Tawarea and Al-Abniya Al-Sawda areas. The humanitarian situation and the health status of the affected were assessed in order to provide the needed help. The urgent response involved the distribution of canned food parcels supported by ICRC, mats, mattresses, plastic sheets, kitchen kits and jerry cans supported by UNHCR and cleaning products supported by UNICEF.
The response was accompanied with water-related needs assessment as well as the installation of 6 tanks, 5000-liter-capacity each, in Al-Raees Mosque and 4 tanks, 5000-liter-capacity each also, in Abdullah Bin Al-Abbas Mosque. Moreover, there was a health care response provided by the mobile medical team to needy patients.
