The recurring cessation of water in the city obliged Aleppo’s people to depend on borehole’s water that works on diesel generating sets due to long electricity blackouts. Water and sanitation team in SARC – Aleppo in collaboration with ICRC has responded to that by installing equipment for solar power supply system to be used for the borehole of Abi Hanifa Mosque (where SARC and Al-Ihsan Charity’s warehouses are located). This is a pilot project of using the alternative power in Aleppo. A total of 48 solar panels of 200 watt capacity with full equipment were installed
