The prevailing water shortage problem in Aleppo and the insufficient safe water provisions lead people to use undrinkable water. Hygiene promotion team responded to that by holding awareness sessions for mothers on Diseases with Symptoms of Diarrhea in Al-Hamadanieh area. Sessions discussed causes of diarrhea, signs of dehydration, ways of prevention, rehydration solutions and home held treatment for water (precipitation, filtration and disinfection) as well as water transportation and storage.
The team distributed chlorine tablets for water purification, jerry cans and oral rehydration sachets to benefitted families.
It is worth mentioning that hygiene promotion activities are held in cooperation with UNICEF
