Due to the recent events in the areas of Kabbas and Dukhaniyah, and the fleeing of number of families to Duwair camp in Rural Damascus. Sheltering and registration teams of the Disaster management Unit from SARC’s Damascus branch implemented an emergency response to meet their needs. Where they distributed food materials including food parcels, can food, hygiene kits, towels, kitchen sets, mats, plastic rolls, candels, blankets ,mattresses and new born kits.
Besides, two Mobile Health Units provided medical consultations and medicines to residents inside the camp. The water and sanitation teams attested the water situation and sanitation supplies. They secured a water tanker with a capacity of 25 cubic meters/transferring water twice on a daily basis. In addition, the water teams repaired the water tank of the water establishment in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The response lasted from the 7th till 9th September . The needs of 190 families around 1290 people were provided during it, in addition to the needs of 275 families who are accommodating in this camp before these events.
