Violence against women is a phenomenon that spread widely regardless of social classes, education level or economic situation. Therefore, some urgent and effective steps should be done to stop this type of violence.

Based on that, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteers in Swaida city organized raising awareness sessions for women in the Community Center under the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence Campaign.

Demonstrative Presentations

The sessions included video presentations that demonstrate the women’s rights, as well as interactive discussions, in which volunteers answered the attendants’ inquiries.

What should I do?

The most impressive questions asked by women: What should I do in case I am exposed to violence? The answer was given by volunteers who explained the proper behavior taken against violence types.

I am Stronger

In the end, some stories of prominent women were demonstrated with an objective to motivate women to play their key role in the community. They also participated in activities confirming their insistence to fight for their rights and put on the (No to Violence Against Woman) logo made by the volunteers. In addition, they have filled the place with their orange prints reflecting feminine strength.
