Seeking to create a first-aid post in Shahba City and as a part of its training and rehabilitation plan, the first aid department at SARC-Swaida carried out two courses on the principles of first aid on 15th of last month, with 64 participants from SARC – Swaida branch and sub-branches. The course included various topics, such as proper action steps, handling bleeding, fractures, burns, CPR and AB.
Through a maneuver simulates a virtual bombing, the volunteers experienced the information they have gained during an advanced first aid training. The eight-day course finished on 17-12-2017 and brought thirty-five paramedics together. It aimed to empower them to respond to all different kinds of cases and provide first aid services.
SARC – Aleppo always works on rehabilitating and qualifying its sub-branches in southern Aleppo in order to give the proper medical services to all affected people. SARC – Aleppo has lately opened a first aid center in Al-Safira area and trained 37 volunteers on advanced first aid. Moreover, Aleppo branch also trained 74 persons from the local community in Tal Aran and Al-Safira on principles of first aid.
Training and building capacities in first aid field is fundamental in SARC – Swaida Branch. 29 volunteers participated in a course of principles of first aid, which went on for four days from 07-06-2017 until 10-06-2017. The course included various topics, such as proper acting steps, handling bleeding, fractures, burns, CPR and other.
Qatana dispensary of SARC’s Rural Damascus Branch, which was established 4 years ago, managed to target approximately 27,000 cases with medical services through a professional medical team and high quality equipments. In its turn, the First Aid teams managed to transferre 16,000 cases to Rural Damascus and Damascus hospitals during the mentioned period. It is worth to mention that all SARC’s dispensaries provide the mentioned medical services for free.
