In accordance to the mutual cooperation framework between Syrian Arab Red Crescent and World Health Organization, a mutual cooperation agreement was signed in sectors of primary, secondary and tertiary health care. The agreement was signed by both, Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and Ms. Elizabeth Hoff, World Health Organization (WHO) Representative in Syria. Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), received Mr. Stephen O’Brien, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, and Mr. Yacoub El Hillo, UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Syria and the accompanied delegation in SARC’s Al-Zahera Center on Aug 16th, 2015. Supported by the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and in cooperation with UNICEF, The Syrian Arab Red Crescent held a workshop on Information Management (IM) and Reporting. The four day workshop started on July 29th, 2015 and brought 24 employees and volunteers from all fourteen SARC branches in Syria. The workshop is highly important for IM staff capacity building as it empowers them in areas of reports editing, data analysis and visualization and in presenting it in a professional way. SARC Frist Aid Team of rural Damascus managed to evacuate a lady with her three new born babies from Al-Mouadamieh town to Dar Al-Twleed hospital in Damascus on July 27th 2015. The women and her babies were in need to be under professional medical observation which is available only in hospitals. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent would thank all parties who facilitated the mission and highly appreciate the efforts exerted by the hospital’s managements and staff which helped saving the lady and her children’s lives.
