The Disaster Management Unit (DMU) of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent- Damascus branch managed to deliver 5000 bread sack to Qoudssaia area on the 1st of October 2015. The mission was carried out accordance to the mutual program with the International Committee of the Red Cross, and in coordination with the Reconciliation Committees and the Relief Sub-committee. The DMU squads monitored the whole process and ensured that the bread is delivered to the most vulnerable residents and to the displaced people in five sheltering centers there.

Dr. Abdulrahman Attar, President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), welcomed a delegation from Netherland Red Cross (NLRC) consisted of Mr.Juriaan Ruben Lahr, head of international assistance and Mr. Merlijn Stoffels, media relations officer. In cooperation with Water Institution in Dara’a governorate, SARC water and sanitation team maintained the major water pipeline that runs between Al-Yadoudah, which is hotspot, and Dara’a city. The pipeline was severely damaged due to the stressed situations prevailed in the area. However, SARC’s volunteers along with Water Institution staff managed to repair it and put water back to about 117.000 residents in Al-Yadoudah, Khrabet Al-Shahem, Aldahia and all over Dara’a Al-Bald.
A delegation from the Danish Red Cross (DRC) paid a briefing visit to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent organization (SARC) on 22- 29 Aug 2015. The visit aimed to have the delegation briefed on the cooperation process between DRC and SARC in fields of relief, health and psycho-social support, and the ability of more collaboration with SARC as it is the only effective and efficient working organization all over the country.
