Like many children, Yaser and his two brothers have been affected by displacement and deprived of many rights, thereby going to school was not an available option for them, but the three brothers restored their right to learning after attending courses for dropout students implemented by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Sweida countryside.
Yaser’s family experienced displacement several times after leaving Deir Ezzour city, to finally settle in the eastern camp of Era town in #Sweida 8 years ago, these conditions caused the children to drop out of school, but in 2022, the brothers attended courses for dropouts within the Community Center in the town, in addition to individual and group sessions that restored their self-confidence, and enabled them to return to school in Curriculum B programme, in coordination between their parents.
Under similar circumstances, Amina and Aisha also lost their right to education after fleeing with their family to the western camp of Era town from Hasakeh city, but they had this right restored later again thanks to the same courses, which will hopefully lead to the positive shift in their lives.
Since the beginning of 2022, the Red Crescent has implemented three courses for dropout students in the Community Center, that drew more than 50 children, with the support of UNHCR.
