The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) is a neutral humanitarian organization that always respects the Geneva Conventions, and is concerned with humans and their needs. It is tasked with humanitarian basic requirements and its functions increase in times of crises, wars and disasters, when needs are multifold.
SARC delivers a great humanitarian mission and carries a general humanitarian message without any religious, sectarian, ethnic or national discrimination. Therefore, it seeks for its personnel those who believe in its humanitarian mission.
Volunteerism plays a major role in SARC; that disciplined, systematized and well-trained voluntarism able to perform on the highest levels of humanitarian service in times of peace and war with view to ensuring the humanitarian message of impartiality of staff and volunteers to any given entity.
SARC relies on volunteers and paramedics who perform their duties in extreme circumstances and the most difficult of times. Those risk their lives for the benefit of all Syrians and work to save lives and serve all people.
SARC works on the ground and cooperates with all parties in order to achieve its humanitarian mission. Furthermore, it collaborates with humanitarian partners and has a positive cooperation with the Syrian government aimed at reaching targeted segments in need for humanitarian action, which, during the war conditions currently experienced in the country, takes the form of relief services conducted on a wide area of Syria.
SARC continues to embrace its humanitarian mission and works to equip its teams of volunteers, while always looking at its target groups in a single, impartial and non-discriminatory manner, in order to enhance its support to those in need.
God bless souls of SARC martyrs and all martyrs and heal wounds in our beloved country Syria, which we hope to recover soon and to regain its distinction in security and prosperity.
