The Syrian Arab Red Crescent President, Dr. Abdul Rahman Attar met with UN Special Representative for Syria Staffan de Mistura on Friday 11, 2014 during his visit to Damascus.
The talks tackled humanitarian aid distribution process and challenges.
Dr. Attar mentioned that the meeting focused on the role of the SARC, and the process of securing humanitarian aid in collaboration with all partners including Red Cross Red Crescent movement partners and United Nations.
This is the first visit of de Mistura to Syria since his appointment as a special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon in July last year.
