As SARC livelihood team in Idleb branch successfully carried out the home gardens project in cooperation with the International federation of the Red Cross and red crescent, the project will be expanded to cover 600 beneficiaries in 6 affected villages. The team distributed an agriculture parcel for each beneficiary. The parcel contains agriculture tools (rake, axe, watering hose 25 m) and seeds of chickpea, lettuce, spinach, onion, garlic, beans and peas in addition to 5 kg of the superphosphate fertilizer. This project comes to re-energize those beneficiaries under the current difficult circumstances, upgrade them to self-sufficiency level and food security and proves that their lands’ soil is fertile as they say.
