Homs Ladies Committee of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent who have been working on “Lammet Kheir” project, managed to provide some affected women with tricot machines in winter 2015. The Committee and with attendance of SARC-Homs Head of board of directors held a meeting to honor two of those women, Om Jihad and Om Housam, as they managed to weave more than 80 sweaters per month.
It is worth mentioning that “Lamat Khair” project provided income to 6 families and improved their livelihood to get simple livelihood needs; therefore, by this project, the number of beneficiaries will be increased.
SARC-Homs Ladies Committee provides small loans to breadwinners of poor families. During the last two years, it provided loans to 42 breadwinners who worked to get an income and then repaid the free profit loan by monthly small installments.
