SARC held a training course on mines and war remnant risk education

The Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) held a 5-day training course on the explosive mines and war remnant risk education on for 24 coordinators and volunteers from SARC branches (Rural Damascus, Qounaitera, Swaida, Homs, Deir Ezzour, Aleppo and Hasakeh) in Aleppo on 24-28/3/2019.
During the course, the participants learned about the different types of risks to the communities affected by war remnants, the whereabouts of the war remnants, warning signs and safety key messages. In addition, they got knowledge of the mechanism for Injuries’ data collection, evaluation of hazardous areas and their humanitarian needs. They also paid two field visits to the physical rehabilitation center and to As-Sfira area, which is categorized as affected by explosive remnants of war.
It is worth mentioning that the training course was held with the support of the ICRC.
